Ideas that were thrown around included:
- Side mirror wipers
- High pressure air directed at the windscreen used to divert/disperse water (wiper replacement)
- Parking indication
- Self tinting windscreen/glass
- Area/location speed zone indicator
Simon also went through a few possible projects to choose or get involved in:
- A Polaris type quad bike that he has been working on is being unveiled to the public later on in the year and there were many systems that need dedicated involvement with possible shares in a successful product.
- Free standing engine wiring looms need to be developed and constructed to assist with engine classes/demonstrations.
My contributions include:
- Color recognition for dash indication of pedestrian crossing and traffic lights
- Light recognition for automatic high-beam switching (highway driving, so possibly also speed sensitive)
- Side mirror replacement for digitally displayed side mirror information
- Our group has also shown interest in the free standing engine wiring loom
